Kitchens 2000 is a small, modern, privately owned company based in West Auckland . Established almost 15 years ago, we specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of a range of kitchens to suit all budgets.
Working directly with house owners, kitchen designers and architects, our skilled team of craftsmen ensure that each kitchen is built to the highest quality.
Every kitchen is designed individually to suit each customer's tastes. Materials used range from meltica to two pot laquer finish on cabinets and laminate to granite for bench tops.
All of our kitchens are constructed using the latest and best quality hardware and fittings to ensure long life.
We offer a prompt, free measure up and quotation and provide patterns to show the plan of the kitchen, followed by manufacture and hassle free installation by our own in-house installers.

Mike Foster (Owner)
Responsible for running the business, went from marine engineering apprentice through senior management, eventually running his own Scotland-based consultancy group with 150 contractors.
Emigrated to New Zealand in the late eighties and has been involved in running a range of companies. Mike purchased Kitchens 2000 in April 2004 and is committed to further developing the company.
As part of our business strategy we are in the process of setting up a display in the Auckland based Home Ideas Centre as well as setting up this web site. We have also invested in purchasing a new Holtzer edgebanding machine as well as an Altendorf sliding table saw

Ann Foster (Co-owner)
Ann is responsible for Accounts and admin, with her background in interior design she works closely with our clients assisting them in choosing the colour scheme for the kitchen. Ann is also marketing our company to Interior designers, kitchen designers and Builders. She is also organising our new display stand in the home ideas centre.

Peter Hanley (Production Foreman)
A highly skilled craftsman with over 25 years experience involved at the top end of the furniture industry. Peter served a four-year apprenticeship on leaving school then gained invaluable experience working with the best furniture manufacturers, developing broad based skills.
Peter at one time owned his own furniture making business. Fortunately he joined our small team and we are lucky to have him here with us. He has been an important part of our team for more than seven years and apart from being a top quality craftsman and great team member he has a wicked sense of humour to match.

David Swan
David served a four year apprenticeship, gaining broad skills in the furniture manufacturing industry.
After spending a further 16 years working with top furniture manufacturers where he learned such skills as polishing and eventually being promoted to projects management, he was persuaded to join our company. David is a key member of our team and held in high regard for his dedication to producing top quality products and attention to detail.
